This week's inspiration:
Water ~ "Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it." Lao Tzu
Water flowing from the roots of city hall.
A comforting observation that an entire city stems from the same root of life...

This week's quote along with these two pictures remind me that water is a lot like LOVE. The shadow this glass of water made caught my eye when I was at a friend's recording session a couple of years ago so I took the photos with my phone.
Enjoy! :)

This is probably my favorite photo of water, taken at the pond in Balboa Park during sunset. Oh boy, do I love the golden color! :)

Here is my favorite for the week. I took it outside my back door at work. Also included is one from a dive trip a few years ago that I absolutely LoVE, I call it "Jelly Rays".

I am intrigued by water in general, not only is it essential to life, but the flexibility of water, and its ability to move, flow and change form are absolutely amazing. Water can also be very mysterious, whether it's not knowing what's below, or wondering if your drinking water is safe, it is a very curious element. My goal in this photo was to show movement and flow in water, while adding an element of curiosity.

I liked that the detail on the table in the foreground almost looks like waves in the ocean ... at least to my eye.

I am grateful for sunsets and clean water. Bringing them together made for a beautiful moment for me.

Great shots everyone! I have so many photos that could have gone with this theme as I am constantly around water and I have been on many diving trips. One of the places I love the most is being underwater on a reef exploring its beauty.

Also I seem to like too many photos to share just one from the assignment. So I made a little page with other I took during the week. http://www.thesharkreef.net/photos4inspiration.html
